From Facebook, Twitter Go to 'Jobs' Language Translator


Previous Facebook has provided translation tool that works with Facebook Connect that can be translated by Facebook users. Not to be outdone by Facebook, Twitter now also invites users to 'ask for help' a translator to translate these Microblogging services in various languages. For starters, Twitter is now focused on translating language to French, Italian, German, and Spanish.

Twitter now start with a small set of translator, but if users want to sign up (twitter.com / translate # translate_signup) to translate services into languages terseut user controlled. Twitter is looking for translators for every language from Finnish to Thai language. After successfully translated sites, Twitter plans to offer a translated file for developer communities to help translate their applications to market for new Twitter.

Twitter Translator will also get a special badge on their profile and will be given level 1 to 10, which is based on how much they do the translation. Twitter is also building a leaderboard for each language translated. That way, translator Twitter will have little incentive on what they have contributed.
